From Jay Roach, director of ‘Meet the Parents’ and ‘Meet the Fockers’ comes DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS - an unforgettable feast about two unlikely friends, Tim (Paul Rudd) and Barry (Steve Carell), and one very memorable dinner.
“Dinner for Schmucks” tells the story of Tim (Paul Rudd), a mid-level financial executive on the verge of having it all. The only thing standing between him and total career success is finding the perfect guest to bring to his boss’ annual Dinner for Extraordinary People, an event where the winner of the evening brings the most eccentric character as his guest. Yes, sounds like fun…? Enter Barry (Steve Carell), a guy with a passion for dressing mice up in tiny outfits to recreate great works of art – hilarious.
Watch extraordinary art unfold in this sexy scene with artist Kieran Vollard – yes from Flight of the Concords. Dinner for Schmucks starts at cinemas 3 Sept.
With almost a 7 star rating on IMDB (pretty good for a comedy) and being a fan of Mr Carrell, this is definitely something I would consider watching. As part of promoting the film, the website Funny or Die featured videos of Jemaine Clement in character as Kieran Vollard.

4 Things She Loves About You

There are small, seemingly unnoticeable things that men can do to win a girl’s heart. You might think that she doesn’t notice, but she does. Here are some surefire ways to make her like you even more.
1. Chivalry. No, it’s not dead. Opening a door for her, helping her when she gets out of the car – these are some of the habits that modern men sometimes forget. It doesn’t matter if you’re newly dating or you’ve been with her for a long time, these actions would give you some extra points come inning time.
2. You show that you notice her. If she’s wearing a dress she has never worn before, tell her how beautiful she looks. If she styles her hair a different way, tell her you like it. Let her know that you notice these small changes because chances are, she’s exerting these efforts to please you.
3. Men who cook. The kitchen is not an exclusive domain for women. A man who can cook turns a woman on. It shows them that you’re secured about your masculinity and is willing to do something not common to all men. And food is a great aphrodisiac.
4. Before and after making love. The bedroom scene is not all about the sex itself. Of course, that’s the majority of it. But what you do before and after also matter. Learn to be patient and build the tension with proper foreplay. A war’s success is not solely dependent on the actual attack, you need to prepare for the battle. After the love making, hold her in your arms. Most women love this part, when you hold her and you both fall asleep in each other’s arms.
Four Things She Hates About You

Women have different tastes and preferences when it comes to men, but there are certain male characteristics that they all dislike. Of course we all know about some of them; physical abuse, cheating, etc. But there are some surprising things that we might not be aware of that can jeopardize our chances with a girl. Here is a partial list.
1. Lack of hygiene. Being a man does not excuse you when it comes to hygiene. Women hate men with smelly feet and BO. We can look like cavemen, stubble and body hairs and all, most women wouldn’t mind, but nose hair is something women don’t like to see. Take a shower every time you are to see her. And don’t forget to trim that growth inside your nostrils.
2. Reeking perfume. Women are turned off by men who use strong perfumes. It just seems unmanly to them. A bit of aftershave is good, it’s actually sexy for most women, but don’t bathe in perfume. A fresh showered smell, and even a bit of sweat, is what turns majority of them on.
3. Stinginess. Majority of women are as financially stable as men nowadays, some are even more so. But this doesn’t mean that she needs to pick the tab every time the two of you go out. Being stingy makes her think “loser.”
4. It’s not all about you. Men who love to talk about themselves all the time turn women off. Do talk about yourself from time to time, especially when she asks. But don’t spend a whole dinner date expounding on what you can do. Remember, she’s there too.
What Your Girl Wouldn’t Tell You

There are things that our wives or girlfriends would never tell us, no matter how long the relationship has run or how close we think we are. Don’t worry, what we don’t know won’t hurt us, right? Anyway, here are some of those little secrets.
1. That she thinks her ex is better looking than you. Women always have a soft spot for the guy they almost married. Or the guy right before her relationship with you. If this guy is better looking than you, she wouldn’t let you know. Unless she’s really angry and would like to hit where it hurts.
2. Where all the money goes. If she’s the one assigned to take care of the household budget, don’t expect her to tell you everything. The good thing is, most of the time, the money goes where it should be. Wives usually save some for the rainy days, but they usually wouldn’t tell you so that you won’t get complacent.
3. How wild were her college days. She might share some of her past experiences, but she would always tone it down a bit and would never reveal the not-so-cool things she has done with her sorority sisters or her college boyfriends. We all know that college is the wildest period in a person’s life anyway.
4. Her beauty secrets. Most women’s do not like being seen shaving their armpits. It’s one of those not-so-sexy things that they need to do but would not tell you that they do, they will just let you assume that they don’t have any concern in that department. Most likely, they also would not tell you that they spend three hours bathing, lathering their skin with lotion and pampering themselves before going out on a hot date with you. You just need to assume that they were born that way – beautiful and perfect.
The Highlights of a Man’s Life

Being a man has its own ups and downs, but there are moments in our lives that stay in our minds more so than others. Such moments usually define who and what we are and we should enjoy every minute and keep the memories with us as long as we live.
1. The first time. Our first sexual encounter would always be memorable, no matter how old we were when it happened. It’s the time we take a step towards becoming a man and leave our boyhood behind.
2. The first job. Taking control of your finances is the same as taking control of your life. It doesn’t matter if your first check is less than the allowance Mommy and Daddy usually give you, that is still money you earned on your own and it feels great to have it in your hands.
3. Wedding day. Committing to spend the rest of your life with someone is a serious decision to make. A man has to undergo a lot of changes to make a marriage work and needs to take a lot more responsibilities. It’s an exciting period and a challenging one at the same time.
4. Becoming a father. Just making sure that your family is financially secure will not be enough once you become a father. You become responsible for the life of another human being – a task that most would consider as the toughest in a person’s life. Believe me, the feeling of holding your baby in your arms for the first time cannot be equaled by any other experience.
The Hassles of Being a Guy

Don’t get me wrong, it’s great being a guy. No monthly periods to worry about, no need to bear children, no biological clock ticking and best of all, it doesn’t matter that we’re in the 21st century, it’s still easier for men to find sex than women.
However, there are hassles that we men usually need to cope with that are exclusive to our species. Here are some of them:
1. Our manhood is a separate entity from our body. It does what it wants and when it suits it. I don’t mean to say that we have sex without us wanting to or without having any control over our actions. I’m talking more about being aroused and being found out that we are. It could be really embarrassing, particularly when we’re in a place or a situation where it would be impolite to show such human reaction. But the evidence would be there for everyone to see and there’s nothing we can do about it.
2. There are moments when we have to fight whether we like to or not. There are times when men are expected to defend their honor (or someone else’s) through a fist fight. Our adversary might be three times bigger than us, but we need to rise to the occasion. We can always run, but that wouldn’t look too hot.
3. We’re always expected to provide for the family. Even though most women these days are as capable as men of providing for their families, they still wouldn’t look half as bad as men if they failed to do so. Not that we’re complaining, we just think it’s unfair when people claim that men have all the advantages.
Could you be suffering from the Male Menopause?
If you are over 40 and are feeling depressed, irritable and unattractive then you may be going through the male menopause.
There is a lot of discussion about whether the male menopause actually exists but there is increasing evidence to support the theory.
When women go through the menopause it is caused by a radical change in the hormones within the body, however, male hormones remain more or less constant during a mans lifetime. It is known that some men do however suffer a drop in testosterone levels which can leave them feeling depressed, lethargic and moody. It is now thought that these people are the ones prone to suffering what is now being termed the male menopause.
If your current situation is caused by a drop in testosterone then Hormone Replacement Therapy or HRT could certainly help, speak with your doctor about it.
We tend to call the period of a mans life where he is reaching middle aged and feeling unsure as a ‘midlife crisis’, it seems that we may now know the reason behind this pattern of behavior and may be able to prevent it.
